welcome to Your NEIGHBORHOOD kitchen
In fact, we're kind of crazy about it. There's something addictive about turning ingredients into sustenance, and sharing your creations with people you love. There's a reason why everyone gathers in the kitchen. It's the beating heart of every home. BLVD Kitchen aims to be the heart of our Sherman Oaks neighborhood, and a place for Los Angeles cooks of all kinds!
Who's cooking here?
Try one of our casual, hands-on cooking classes, or come in and cook with your family, friends and neighbors for Community Sunday Supper. Got an idea or a group? Let us create a cooking event just for you.
Stop in to grab a fresh-baked cookie from Mom in the Mail. Treat yourself or a friend to decadent handmade candies from Maya’s Brigadeiros, delicious artisan foods from Kid Doc JJ, good-for-you soups from Gracefully Fed, or other selections to eat now or make later from our bountiful BLVD Larder. Our BLVD TO YOU team does amazing summer picnics, tasty gift baskets and memorable catering, so contact us for creative ideas for office meetings and celebrations for groups large and small.
We rent our commercial kitchen space to caterers, food entrepreneurs, chefs, bloggers, and other food pros on an hourly, daily, or longer-term basis. The space may also be booked for private events. Call or email us for details and kitchen rental availability, and add your name to our roster of great BLVD community members.
Stop into our shop, and find unique kitchen gifts and ideas, all tested and loved by us. Browse a selection of hand-picked cookbooks, with recommended recipes already bookmarked. Ask anyone for advice. We'll be thrilled to help.

BEST SWEETS IN TOWN
Our BLVD Food artisans are a seriously talented bunch, and often their treats are only available right here in the kitchen. We're very generous with our samples, so it pays to stop in and say hello!
KID DOC IS HERE!
This is the only place in town to find Dr. JJ's artisan soups and breads. Crafted from all-natural ingredients, full of flavorful herbs and spices, her soups are made fresh, and in our freezer ready for you to take and enjoy at home. Her famous breads are available by special order, or try one of her amazing classes!
BLVD Kitchen is a large, bright, beautiful and fully-equipped catering kitchen. Kitchen rental is available by the hour, day, week or longer. Join our community of food-focused entrepreneurs, and build your business here at BLVD Kitchen. The space is also set up to host private dinners, tastings, pop-ups, recipe testing, film shoots, social and corporate events. Call or email us for details, requirements (they're pretty simple!) and availability.
Hi. I'm your BLVD Proprietor, Sharon Graves, the curly-haired dreamer on the right there. I still can't quite believe that BLVD Kitchen is a real place and I get to come here and bake cookies for people every day, but it's true. I'm proud, nervous, "financially insane"*, and beside myself with joy over this exciting venture.
Am I a professional chef? Well, now that I work in this giant commercial kitchen, maybe. But I consider myself more of an enthusiastic and accomplished** cook who has managed, at last, to turn a lifelong love of sharing, teaching and learning about food into a business that feels like coming home when I walk in the door.
Here at BLVD, my primary job is to welcome other people into this home we're creating. I want everyone - chefs, students, shoppers, neighbors - to walk in and get that same happy, "lucky me!" feeling. There's a whole team of us here*** dedicated to making that happen, and we can't wait to have you come in and tell us if we are on the right track****.
* This is a direct quote from my husband.
*** Part of the BLVD magic is how it attracts great people, like Jamie our marvelous shopkeeper, Sharon the queen of BLVD events, Kris, the steward of the kitchen, and the growing roster of brilliant chef-instructors you see on this page who also call BLVD home. Did I mention I love coming in here? They're a big part of the reason why.
**** FYI, we liberally sample our treats in the shop. We find that really helps with the making-people-happy thing.
